Application:
The CNC Gantry Plate Drilling and Milling Machine is specifically developed for high-precision machining of tube sheets, flanges, bearing plates, heat exchanger components, and a wide range of plate-type workpieces used in petrochemical processing, nuclear power generation, wind energy, boiler manufacturing, and structural steel fabrication. The machine supports high-speed carbide drilling with through-spindle coolant, as well as high-speed twist drilling with external coolant. By integrating drilling, chamfering, tapping, milling, and boring into a single CNC machining platform, it provides exceptional machining flexibility and production efficiency. An optional automatic right-angle milling head further enhances its capabilities by enabling efficient side drilling, tapping, and milling of complex workpieces.

1. The equipment consists of a heavy-duty machine base, longitudinal slide assembly, gantry structure, cross slide mechanism, vertical feed unit, drilling and milling spindle head, worktable, coolant circulation system, automatic chip removal conveyor, centralized lubrication system, pneumatic system, electrical control cabinet, and other supporting components. These integrated modules create a complete and efficient CNC machining platform designed to meet the requirements of high-precision industrial manufacturing.
2. The servo-driven sliding spindle head integrates multiple machining operations, including drilling, reaming, tapping, chamfering, and slot milling. These processes can be performed independently or through coordinated multi-axis control, providing outstanding machining flexibility and versatility. The spindle is equipped with a high-precision BT50 internal-cooling spindle manufactured in Taiwan and features an automatic tool clamping system utilizing disc spring technology. The hydraulic tool release mechanism enables quick and convenient tool replacement, effectively shortening tool change cycles and improving overall production efficiency.
3. High-precision linear guideways are applied throughout the machine’s major movement axes to ensure smooth operation, excellent mechanical rigidity, and accurate positioning performance. The feed drive system adopts AC servo motors combined with synchronous belt transmission and precision ball screw mechanisms, delivering superior positioning accuracy, excellent repeatability, and reliable long-term machining stability.
4. The machine bed and gantry frame are manufactured from premium cast iron or high-strength welded steel structures. Prior to precision machining, all major structural components undergo high-temperature stress-relief annealing, followed by secondary stress elimination after semi-finishing.
